Light Up Christmas: A Season to Care and Share

As the festive season concludes, our school came together to embody the spirit of love and service. This Christmas, we supported the Christian Action (Centre for Refugees) by sending cards and toys to children in need in Hong Kong.

Activities Overview

  1. Zentangle Christmas Card Competition: We were thrilled to receive over 150 creative entries from our talented students. 10 winners were selected, along with several entries receiving Outstanding Awards and Merits. The winning designs were printed, and P.1-6 students were invited to write heartfelt messages inside these cards.
  2. Toys and Stationery Set Donation: Our parents and students showed remarkable generosity, contributing more than 200 presents. Donations included a diverse range of items, such as toys, stationery sets, and board games.
  3. Community Service: Students from various ECA teams, including MCS Explorers and Brownies, volunteered their time to wrap the gifts. This hands-on service not only provided the students with an opportunity to give back but also fostered a sense of teamwork and camaraderie among them.

The joy expressed by the children receiving these gifts was heartwarming, with many sharing it was their first Christmas present. Thank you for your incredible support in spreading kindness and compassion! Your contributions truly embody the Maryknoll spirit of selfless devotion.
