Welcome to Maryknoll’s English Language Curriculum page! Our comprehensive English programme adopts an immersive “learning by doing” approach, allowing students to actively participate in language arts activities and express their thoughts and ideas in different scenarios. Through this experiential learning process, students develop strong language skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine love for reading and writing.

At Maryknoll, we foster a collaborative learning environment, where peer learning and evaluation play a vital role. Teachers and students work together, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate, promoting a supportive and interactive atmosphere. To sustain an English learning culture, we have implemented the English Ambassadors scheme. This initiative empowers students from upper grades to take the lead in hosting regular English activities. In addition to our curriculum, we offer various English Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) such as the Debate Team, Drama Club, MPS Post and Battle of the Books. These opportunities allow students to explore different literary genres, refine their language skills, and nurture their passion for English.
